Busta Blog Cherry

Testing! Microphone check 1, 2. Hey ... Is this thing on? Anyone out there? Bloggin' 1, 2.

Whew! I just busted my blog cherry. I need a smoke.

Ya know I feel pretty fortunate as a person and a musician to work with my friends and band mates The Evangenitals. You guys rock!

I am the drumster evangenital. And I'm proud to pound! It wasn't until April '06. Planets and stars aligned and I came across a drum posting on Craigs List wanting someone with qualities that I actually posses. You know stuff like being fun, being able to laugh at yourself, being of sound mind, body and spirit, willing to travel, be supportive yet self supporting, must be open to a LTR and have the right equipment for the job. I honestly felt like I was answering an add in the personals! It's pretty profound to think that searching want adds for bands is the same as looking in the personals for a girlfriend except you get like ... four more!

So I went to their website and immediately knew where my new home was. I knew in a deeper way, it was right. It just felt like that. I quickly replied and told them I was everything they were looking for and some. Even D&D free! (well...sort of).

So like a week later we met for an audition and it turned out better than if it were sex on the first date! Brushes and a snare drum were all I needed. Acoustic guitars were all they needed. What can I say? You can't hide nor deny a good song when it is as naked as that! I fell in love with my new peeps and their music right from the start. I'm looking forward to great things to come my friends!

But meanwhile until we sell a squillion albums, my alter ego comes out as a mercenary, gig slut hoe and prostitutin' drumster tryin' to put a loaf of bread on the table! So as a way to the means, I must freelance around town in cover bands, play at Universal Studios Hollywood for The Shrek Allstar Swamp Band and The Sting Swing Band and also build my studio chops where and whenever I can.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that I've been practicing mallets like madness. I got a thing for my marimbas. ;0)

Sometimes it's difficult to keep up the flow but the universe is good to me and she always finds a way to take care of me. I think she likes me.

Here is a guy who needs a drumset in his studio.....

Looks like you got all the right gear and the right 'tude, now you gotta get a groooove goin.

Im Teeg, 42, played drums for a couple centuries back in the eighties and whatever it was that came after that.

Tryin to learn to write a blog, all I got so far was mostly emotional drivel.

They always told me to stick with drumming and not sing, but sometimes I just gotta get up and say something stupid.

Anyway, good luck and maybe come check out my outfit...

I might actually get something interesting on that site one of these days.
